PLAY! by Sephora September Reveal

This is my first subscription box and also my first Sephora Play Box! I was pleasantly surprised at the products that were given especially for the price. For reference, I was going to join ipsy since it was around $10 also, but the products they give are really low quality and not many higher ended brands like Sephora tends to feature for the exact same price. I haven’t looked into many others, so I can’t compare others!

First up is the Living Proof Perfect Hair Day® Night Cap Overnight Perfector. I haven’t tried this yet, but my friend adores this product, so I’m SUPER excited to try this out! My hair has been pretty dry and damaged recently, so this is something I really need right now.

The product in this whole box that I was insanely happy to see was a Dr.Jart+ product!! I love their sheet masks and a majority of their products, so i’m so exciting to try Water Drop Hydrating Moisturizer this out. I’m gonna try this out tonight as a matter of fact. Their products work really well with my dry/sensitive skin, so I hope this is another addition to my skincare routine!

The Kat Von D tattoo liner is something i’ve tried before, but I was in need of a new eyeliner so this Unbasic Basics kit was a dream come true. It really saved me on products I was in need of buying. I would rate this as a 8.5/10 product because its not super black and its a bit shiny, where I like a matte black liner.

Now another product I have is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel. I love this because I don’t add much to my brows so this tames the brow hairs perfectly without making them extra dark when it’s not necessary. I would rate this a 8/10 product!

Next is the only product from the set that I actually dislike. The Sephora Rouge Shine Lipstick in N14 Love Spell. For a line that has so many shades, they really should have chosen a universally flattering shade. I have tan skin, so it looks like I ate a bunch of chalk when I apply it. It also smells like the makeup you would use as kids, like a ton of chemicals and cheap production. It’s also VERY small, which in this case is a good thing because it has poor pigmentation and wear as well. I would rate it 1/10 because it’s at least not drying.

Now the last product is the Tory Burch Jolie Fleur Verte Eau De Parfum Spray. They described it as a tomboy and easygoing mix and that’s 100% correct. It has a slight masculine scent, but then it has some floral and feminine notes that makes it an insanely perfect scent. It smells like a perfume that your mom would wear, but i’m really impressed  with this scent. It’s rare for me to like a perfume so I’ll give this a 9/10.
