Wishtrend recently sent me this sun cream and I’m so excited to share my review with you! I’m relatively tan, so finding a sunscreen that doesn’t form a white cast, or break me out will be an automatic win. This sunscreen also has key ingredients like Niacinamide which is great for brightening your natural tone while also improving the texture!
The Klairs Mid-day Blue Sun Lotion has a mousse like texture, which is perfect for an even and simple application. Every other sunscreen I’ve used required me to blend for quite a while, but this one is easy to smooth it over. It does have a light floral scent so keep that in mind. I’m not a fan of overpowering scents, but I love this one, so you should be fine too! I think they also have samples with a purchase just in case you want to test it first.
For skincare, I always highly recommend you get a sample first because you never know how your skin will respond to a new product.
For application, I recommend using a sponge like the beauty blender to spread it evenly on the face and avoid any tugging on the skin which applying the product. Applying the product with a sponge will also increase the color correcting qualities! It doesn’t take much effort to completely blend it which is a major bonus so you can use your fingers for a hydrating finish. After that, I usually let it sit for around a minute and then I apply my primer or foundation. It really makes your face smooth so sometimes I completely skip primer!
As for the white cast concern, it will brighten the face but I don’t think it’s much of a noticeable cast once you put makeup on. It has the same effect as my Hourglass primer that I previously reviewed. It brightens the face to remove sallowness and dullness like a color corrector and goes away with base makeup. It is blue, but think of the lavender color correctors, it has nearly the same effect, but this provides with ample sun protection.
Especially if you’re like me, and you have a lot of acne and acne scarring, its very crucial to have at least one form of SPF if you’re going out in the sun.
I’ve been using it for about 2 weeks now, and I love it as a primer because its super moisturizing, with the added bonus of color correcting + sun protection! Check it out here!
