The best thing about skincare or beauty stores in general are the samples. Especially when it comes to skincare, testing a product out from a sample first is a major ProTip.
If you have sensitive, acne-prone skin like me, then trying out a sample of a skincare product like a cleanser, oil or anything, especially if its a luxury product, will save you a lot of money. If you buy the full size, you might not be able to return it, so samples can save you the hassle. Samples are also the best for traveling! I’ll be featuring L’Occitane today, and if you always mispronounce L’Occitane like me its basically like “Lox-ee-tahn”
Samples are also financially dangerous, because if you like the product, which happens to me more times then I would like, you’ll go out and buy the full size. L’Occitane products work really well with my skin, so I always end up purchasing the full size of the samples I receive.
How did I get so many samples? Sign up for their email newsletter! I get a ton of emails about free product offers, and I definitely take advantage and swing by. You can also get 3 free samples when you purchase from their site! I know Aesop also tends to be generous with samples, but I haven’t gotten around to trying them yet. I’m testing out these new L’Occitane products, so I need to see how they react with my skin first.
The only products I’ve tried from here are their Shea Butter Hand Creams, Foot Creams and their Light Comforting Cream, and I love them all! I’m excited to try their Repairing Shampoo, Divine Youth Oil and Divine Cream.
I’m probably gonna start a new series where I feature my latest samples on Saturdays and tell you whether or not I’d actually purchase the full size! Next week I’ll probably feature either Tatcha or Aesop. Of course it won’t be every week because I mean how many samples can a person really have?
