How to Make Your Skin Recover From Midterms

I took one of the most stressful exams I’ve ever taken at University last week, and immediately after my skin started clearing up. Who would’ve thought an exam could cause your skin to react that way? Probably most people, but with all of the products I USE I didn’t think it was still possible.

Regardless, my skin still wasn’t looking great so it needed a MAJOR pick me up.
First up? Take all of that makeup off (if you’re even wearing any) and let that skin breathe. Most mornings now I just do a 5 minute skincare routine which is going to be my next blog post, so stay tuned. Double cleanse always, I mentioned this in detail in this post, and then you need a mask. I love either this Clarisonic Deep Pore Detoxifying Clay Mask, or this Borghese Fango Active Mud for Face and Body. Both of these always give me the skin fix I’m looking for/ desperately need.

Then I just put toner and the Tatcha Camellia beauty oil  or a serum like Newage Vitamin C Facial Oil or even the L’Occitane Divine Youth Oil on. That’s it.

I used to put like 10+ layers of skincare on, but now my skin isn’t loving that and neither am I. I’ve gotten so tired of some products and my skin doesn’t react to them anymore either. I just like using toner to remove any dirt, and then using a serum or oil. That’s it. Especially with school and work suffocating me, minimal effort when I get home is key for me now. Once a week, now I even have a day where I don’t use any skincare at all. Strange I know, I know but it does wonders for my skin. Sometimes your skin needs a breather from even skincare. Those are two major key ProTips from me to you.

Eat well, take care of yourself, drink lots of water and honestly you should be fine with that alone. When I started eating cleaner and hit the gym again, my skin also improved. Your skin is a representation of whats going on inside of your body, so fuel yourself with yummy but healthy stuff!
