Glossier & Embryolisse: Worth or What?

Glossier & Embryolisse: Worth or What?

I’ve been MIA for a while now, but I’m back and have a ton of posts lined up. It’s been so long that even the layout for WordPress has changed haha. Managing university and work have been insanely hectic recently, so it’s a learning progress.  Now today lets get back into skincare because my skin has seriously been great recently. This may also be due to me going Paleo, but that’s all in another blog post.

Glossier. Let’s just start off with NOT worth.  Some of the worst serums I’ve ever used. I’m a huge lover of serums and these fell short in so many aspects. For one, the Super Glow and Super Pure feel like literal water which is not what I’m looking for in a serum. It runs down your face and hands way too quickly so you can barely apply it. It also “absorbs” into the skin quickly so you can even massage it into the skin. It honestly seems like they’ve just put more investment into the packaging than the formulation itself. It also has no effect on the skin whatsoever, henceforth I’m calling it overpriced water.

However, Super Bounce wasn’t bad, it was nice to put on right after cleansing or before I apply my makeup, but at a heaping $28 it’s 100% not worth it. Honestly, half the time I read reviews about Glossier, 80% of the time they’re from reps or got sent the product so they feel the need to make it sound better than it is. To summarize, super pure is purely useless, super glow will reduce that glow up, and super bounce is pretty bomb.

Now for the Worth product. Embryolisse’s Lait-Creme Concentrate is seriously a really great product. It has a thick consistency, but absorbs quickly into the skin. I love using this before I do my makeup, but I won’t use it before bed because I feel like it might clog my pores. It allows my powder foundation to have a smooth finish, but it is super moisturizing. I would definitely only recommend this is if you have dry skin like me. It’s also pretty affordable in my opinion since a very little amount goes a long way.

I’ll be back with more posts soon, so stay tuned! In the mean time, check out my VSCO because I post there pretty often haha.
